Position
We are seeking a driven, highly competitive Sales Account Manager to join Rocky Mountain Laboratories, based in Denver, Colorado, specializing in selling laboratory services to primary care physicians across the state. You will take ownership of a fast-paced territory, leveraging your strategic mindset, strong communication skills, and tenacity to drive business growth while maintaining exceptional client relationships.

This role requires technical proficiency, including CRM (e.g., Salesforce) and routing apps, to efficiently manage pipeline tracking, lead follow-ups, and ensure HIPAA-compliant documentation while maximizing productivity in a multi-state, compliance-focused environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute aggressive sales strategies to capture and grow market share within Colorado’s primary care physician market
  • Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities through persistence and solution-focused approaches
  • Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with primary care physicians and clinic staff
  • Lead contract negotiations and guide prospects through the full sales cycle, from initial contact to closing
  • Deliver engaging, customized product presentations to physicians and clinic administrators
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop and implement targeted sales campaigns
  • Stay current on market trends, competitive activities, and industry developments
  • Provide ongoing post-sale support to ensure customer satisfaction and long-term retention
  • Track sales metrics and maintain accurate CRM records to monitor progress and forecast sales
  • Travel frequently within Colorado to conduct meetings and presentations with prospective clients
  • Other duties as assigned by management

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of two years of sales experience (any industry)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build client trust
  • Excellent negotiation and closing skills
  • Highly organized with effective time management skills
  • Willingness to travel frequently within Colorado
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with internal teams
  • Proficiency with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and mobile technology for territory management

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Medical sales experience, or healthcare experience paired with strong sales skills
  • Knowledge of laboratory services, molecular diagnostics, or toxicology
  • Familiarity with CLIA, FDA, and other healthcare compliance requirements
  • Demonstrated success exceeding sales targets in competitive markets
  • Professional certifications in sales or healthcare management (e.g., Certified Sales Professional)
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret sales data and develop actionable plans
  • Experience presenting to physicians, clinic administrators, and medical office managers

All positions require time zone awareness, including the impact of daylight saving time, as we are a multi-state organization with teams and partners across different U.S. time zones. Clear communication and timely coordination are essential.

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM, semi-flexible schedule

Job Type:

  • Full-Time

Salary:

  • $75,000 annually for the first 3 months, then transitions to $55,000 annually
  • Up to $650/month reimbursement for phone, fuel, and mileage
  • High performers are expected to earn six figures within their first year through bonuses (bonus structure covered by the hiring manager)
