Position
This is an opportunity to build and grow a new Tucson, AZ, market with significant earnings potential for high performers. The Sales Account Manager will develop relationships with primary care physicians, expand our presence, and drive revenue growth. This role requires a proactive and strategic sales approach, focusing on business development, prospecting, and securing long-term partnerships.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a sales strategy to establish and expand business in the Tucson metro area
- Identify and secure new clients, with a focus on mobile physicians, geriatric care providers, and underserved areas
- Actively prospect via in-person visits, cold calls, and direct outreach — this is not an inbound sales role
- Manage the full sales cycle, from lead generation and relationship-building to closing and onboarding
- Deliver compelling in-person and virtual presentations that educate clients on the value of our diagnostic services
- Negotiate service agreements and build long-term partnerships with healthcare providers
- Maintain detailed records of sales activities, pipeline status, and client feedback using CRM tools
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams (e.g., lab, logistics, compliance) to meet client needs
- Provide regular follow-up and account management to ensure client retention and satisfaction
- Monitor regional market trends, competitor activity, and regulatory changes affecting diagnostics sales
- Represent RML with professionalism, integrity, and responsiveness in all client interactions
- Assist with local marketing efforts, referrals, and community engagement when needed
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of sales experience, ideally in B2B or direct sales
- Must be actively involved in prospecting, outreach, and closing, not solely directing a sales team or strategy
- Proven ability to generate, pursue, and close new business without relying on inbound leads
- Self-driven sales professional with a consultative, relationship-focused approach
- Comfortable with a high-volume, high-activity sales process that includes prospecting, cold outreach, and follow-up
- Strong negotiation and closing skills in a competitive market
- Comfortable with frequent in-person client visits, onsite presentations, and regular driving throughout the Tucson area
- Ability to manage a territory independently, prioritize outreach, and maintain a consistent sales pipeline
- High level of accountability, follow-through, and time management
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for building trust and long-term relationships
- Proficiency with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) for tracking leads, activity, and outcomes
- Comfortable using digital tools and technology (e.g., Google Workspace, spreadsheets, navigation apps, virtual meeting tools) to manage day-to-day operations
Preferred Qualifications:
- Sales experience in healthcare, diagnostics, lab services, or medical device sectors
- Experience selling into outpatient, home health, mobile physician, or skilled nursing settings
- Familiarity with CLIA and FDA regulations as they relate to clinical labs
- Knowledge of molecular diagnostics, core lab panels, and/or toxicology testing
- Experience in launching or building out a new territory or market from scratch
- Track record of success in commission-based roles with variable compensation
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, healthcare administration, or a related field
- Adaptability in fast-paced, startup-style environments
Education:
A bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a related field is preferred but not required.
All positions require time zone awareness, including the impact of daylight saving time, as we are a multi-state organization with teams and partners across different U.S. time zones. Clear communication and timely coordination are essential.
Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with a semi-flexible schedule.
This is a semi-flexible role requiring mutual adaptability to client availability, occasional early mornings or evenings, and frequent on-site visits.
Job Type:
Full-Time
Salary:
- Base salary $75,000 annually for the first 3 months, then $55,000 annually.
- Strong performers are expected to be on track for six-figure earnings after 6 months through the bonus structure.
- Up to $650 per month for fuel, mileage, and phone reimbursement.

Benefits begin 60 days after the first full month of full-time employment.
