Position

We are seeking a reliable Medical Courier Driver to support our Draper operations through timely specimen retrieval, safe transport, and professional client service. This role is essential to maintaining specimen integrity, supporting fast turnaround times, and ensuring efficient evening route coverage.

This position requires strong attention to detail, comfort driving at night, and proficiency with routing technology, GPS, and smartphone-based workflows.

Shift:

Evening shift Monday to Friday
Shift begins at 4:00 pm and ends between 10:00 p.m. and 2:00 a.m., depending on route completion.
On Tuesdays, one route may extend until 3:00–4:00 a.m.

W2 hourly Team Members receive an 8% shift differential for hours worked between 8:00 p.m. and 4:00 a.m., as well as for all Saturday and Sunday hours.

Responsibilities

  • Retrieve and deliver medical specimens safely and on time, following established routes and chain-of-custody standards.
  • Complete supply drops for internal teams and client facilities.
  • Maintain a clean, organized company vehicle; complete inspections and report maintenance needs promptly.
  • Adhere to all safety procedures, including proper specimen handling, packaging, and storage.
  • Communicate clearly with dispatch, clients, and internal teams to coordinate changes, updates, or special instructions.
  • Deliver excellent customer service during all pickups and client interactions.
  • Load and unload specimens and supplies safely; follow lifting and handling procedures.
  • Use company-provided software and GPS tools to document route activity and complete required logs.
  • Attend required trainings and meetings to stay current on policies and compliance.
  • Collaborate with peers to problem-solve issues that arise during routes.
  • Perform routine vehicle checks and report issues quickly.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Clean driving record.
  • Minimum two years of driving experience in previous related roles.
  • Comfortable driving at night and for extended periods.
  • Tech-proficient; able to use GPS, routing apps, and smartphone-based tools.
  • An active smartphone (Android or iPhone) with an adequate data plan.
  • Personal auto liability insurance (no additional coverage required for company vehicle).
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions.
  • Reliable, punctual, and adaptable to changing routes or needs.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous medical courier, healthcare delivery, logistics, or specimen transport experience.
  • Familiarity with HIPAA, chain-of-custody standards, or handling sensitive materials.
  • Experience providing excellent customer service in fast-paced or field-based roles.

License/Certification

  • Valid Driver's License (Required).

Work Location: Draper, Utah, and the surrounding area.

Job Type: Full-time, W2

Salary: $18.00 per hour.

  • A company vehicle is provided during working hours.
  • 8% differential for hours worked between 8 PM and 4 AM and weekends.
  • Discretionary Monthly Bonus Incentive up to 10% of Gross Pay
