Position
Rocky Mountain Laboratories is hiring a Part-Time Ground Courier to support evening transport operations. The Ground Courier will retrieve and deliver medical specimens, supplies, and related materials from internal and external locations while maintaining a high level of professionalism, reliability, and attention to detail.
Schedule:
Three shifts per week, starting at 4:00 PM and ending around 12:00 AM midnight
W2 hourly Team Members receive an 8% shift differential for hours worked between 8:00 p.m. and 4:00 a.m., as well as for all hours worked on Saturdays and Sundays.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure timely and accurate delivery of medical specimens to designated destinations, adhering to established schedules and safety protocols.
- Maintain cleanliness and readiness of the company vehicle, including regular inspections and reporting maintenance issues.
- Follow all safety regulations while operating the vehicle and handling medical specimens.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, clients, and team members to coordinate pickups, deliveries, and special instructions.
- Handle specimens with care, ensuring proper labeling, packaging, and temperature control during transport.
- Provide professional customer service and represent RML with reliability and professionalism.
- Accurately complete route documentation, logs, and any assigned reports.
- Collaborate with colleagues to resolve delivery challenges and maintain a smooth workflow.
- Attend required training sessions or meetings to stay current on company policies and procedures.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
- Personal liability auto insurance (required for company vehicle eligibility).
- Active smartphone (Android or iPhone) with data plan.
- Minimum of two years of professional driving experience.
- Computer proficiency and comfort using GPS or routing software.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Reliability, flexibility, and professional communication skills.
- Ability to operate a vehicle for extended periods and drive in evening/overnight conditions.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous courier or medical specimen transport experience.
- Familiarity with Draper and the surrounding areas.
Job Type:
Part-Time, W2
Salary:
$18.00 per hour
Eligible for discretionary monthly performance bonus.
Eligible for 8% differential for qualifying hours.

Paid Time Off (PTO): Part-time team members who average 20+ hours/week are eligible to accrue PTO. Team members working fewer than 20 hours/week are not eligible to accrue PTO.
401(k): Eligible per plan terms.
