Position
Join our dynamic team at Rocky Mountain Laboratories in Reno, Nevada, specializing in Molecular Diagnostics, Core Labs, and Toxicology while delivering precise, swift lab results and exceptional customer service. As a Sales Account Manager, you will manage a multi-specialty territory, including mobile geriatric physicians, primary care, and pain management accounts. This role requires a thorough understanding of the healthcare industry and either healthcare experience combined with strong sales skills or direct medical sales experience.

Your technical skills will support efficient CRM use, sales activity tracking, and customized client presentations using tools like Salesforce and routing apps, ensuring you manage leads, pipeline, and client relationships professionally while maintaining HIPAA compliance.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to expand market presence within your assigned territory
  • Identify and secure new business opportunities to meet and exceed sales targets
  • Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with clients, including mobile geriatric physicians, primary care, and pain management providers
  • Lead contract negotiations and manage the sales process from prospecting to closing
  • Deliver compelling product presentations tailored to different client needs
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop and implement targeted campaigns and promotional strategies
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor activity, and opportunities for growth
  • Provide client training, product support, and troubleshooting assistance as needed
  • Ensure high levels of client satisfaction and proactive issue resolution to support retention
  • Track sales activities, pipeline progress, and key metrics using CRM systems
  • Travel frequently within the Reno area and surrounding territories to meet with clients and prospects
  • Other duties as assigned by management

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of two years of sales experience in any industry
  • Thorough understanding of the healthcare or medical field
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build client trust
  • Excellent negotiation, closing, and presentation skills
  • Highly organized with effective time management skills
  • Willingness to travel frequently within the assigned territory
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment
  • Proficiency with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) and routing/navigation apps for efficient territory management
  • Tech-savvy, comfortable using mobile devices, CRM systems, and Microsoft Office

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a leadership role
  • Healthcare experience paired with strong sales experience or direct medical sales experience
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements in the medical diagnostics industry (e.g., CLIA, FDA)
  • Knowledge of molecular diagnostics, core laboratory testing, and toxicology
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales targets in the medical or healthcare industry
  • Professional certifications related to sales or healthcare management (e.g., Certified Sales Professional, Certified Medical Representative)
  • Experience presenting to varied audiences, including clinicians, lab managers, and executives
  • Strong analytical skills for interpreting sales data and developing actionable strategies

All positions require time zone awareness, including the impact of daylight saving time, as we are a multi-state organization with teams and partners across different U.S. time zones. Clear communication and timely coordination are essential.

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM, semi-flexible schedule

Job Type:

  • Full-Time

Salary:

  • Base salary $75,000 annually for the first 3 months and then $55,000 annually as bonuses, should be coming in by then, depending on performance.
  • Bonus structure with six-figure earning potential in the first year (details covered by hiring manager)
  • Up to $650 reimbursed per month for fuel, mileage, and phone.

Benefits begin 60 days after the first full month of full-time employment.

Ability to commute/relocate:
