Position
Rocky Mountain Laboratories specializes in providing quick patient turnaround time and upholds high reliability and professionalism within our team. We are seeking a part-time evening courier to efficiently capture pertinent data and transport medical-related materials between internal and external customers throughout the Reno area.

Reliability, attention to detail, and clear communication are essential in this role. Couriers use a company vehicle during their shift and may assist with light office duties or cross-route coverage as needed.

Schedule:

• Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday
• Typically 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 or 9:00 p.m.
• Around 15 hours per week
• May occasionally cover Thursday–Saturday routes as needed
• Anticipated start date: October 30, 2025

W2 hourly team members receive an 8% shift differential for hours worked between 8:00 p.m. and 4:00 a.m., as well as for all hours worked on Saturdays and Sundays.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure timely and accurate delivery of medical specimens and supplies to designated destinations, adhering to established schedules and protocols.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the company vehicle, including regular inspections and reporting any maintenance issues.
• Adhere to all relevant safety regulations and guidelines while operating the vehicle and handling medical specimens.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, clients, and other team members to coordinate pickups, deliveries, and special instructions.
• Handle specimens with care, ensuring proper labeling, packaging, and temperature control during transport.
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing questions or concerns during pickups and deliveries.
• Assist with loading and unloading specimens, supplies, and equipment as needed, following proper lifting procedures.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of all pickups, deliveries, and related activities using company-provided software or paperwork.
• Support the Regional Office Manager with light office duties or supply organization.
• Collaborate with colleagues to troubleshoot challenges during daily operations and contribute to a positive team environment.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

• Valid Driver’s License
• Personal auto insurance (no additional coverage needed for company vehicle use as long as personal vehicle insurance is maintained)
• Clean driving record
• Active smartphone (Android or iPhone) with adequate data plan
• Minimum of two years of driving experience in previous roles
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
• Comfort operating a vehicle for extended periods and in varying weather conditions
• Ability to lift 25–30 lbs and frequently get in and out of a vehicle

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous courier, delivery, or logistics experience
• Familiarity with the Reno/Sparks metro area

All positions require time zone awareness, including the impact of daylight saving time, as we are a multi-state organization with teams and partners across different U.S. time zones. Clear communication and timely coordination are essential.

Job Type: W2, Part-Time
Salary: $18.00 per hour
Eligible for an 8% shift differential for hours worked between 8:00 p.m. and 4:00 a.m. and on weekends.
Eligible for a discretionary monthly bonus incentive.
Weekly pay (Fridays).

• Paid Time Off (PTO): Part-time team members who average 20+ hours/week are eligible to accrue PTO. Team members working fewer than 20 hours/week are not eligible to accrue PTO.
