Position Summary
We are seeking a dependable, experienced phlebotomist based in Las Vegas to commute to our partner clinic in Pahrump. This full-time, benefits-eligible role includes three 10-hour shifts per week (Monday, Thursday, and Friday).
The 10-hour shift includes the estimated drive time to and from Pahrump, and both commute time and mileage will be compensated.
This is a stationary, clinic-based role focused on specimen collection, data entry, and patient care. Occasional mobile coverage within Pahrump may be needed during staff PTO.
Note: We have a separate job posting available for candidates already located in Pahrump.
Responsibilities
Stationary Clinic Duties
- Perform venipuncture and specimen collection per protocol
- Accurately enter and verify patient/specimen data in the LIS
- Ensure proper labeling, handling, and timely transport of specimens
- Maintain a clean and safe work area
- Provide respectful and compassionate care to patients
- Use a tablet for documentation (smartphones not permitted)
- Maintain patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance
- Communicate effectively with lab and clinic teams
- Other duties as assigned by management
Mobile Coverage (As Needed)
- Travel between sites within Pahrump using your personal vehicle
- Maintain mobile supplies and ensure secure specimen transport
- Communicate with dispatch and site contacts
- Follow chain-of-custody and confidentiality procedures
Qualifications
- 2+ years of phlebotomy experience (excluding training or donation centers)
- Nevada Laboratory Assistant License (required)
- Skilled in venipuncture across all age groups
- Strong attention to detail and documentation
- Familiarity with HIPAA, infection control, and lab safety
- Comfortable using tablets or mobile documentation tools
- All positions require time zone awareness, including the impact of daylight saving time, as we are a multi-state organization with teams and partners across different U.S. time zones. Clear communication and timely coordination are essential.
Preferred Experience
- Mobile phlebotomy or home health background
- Reliable vehicle, valid driver's license, and auto insurance
- Comfortable with regular commuting and varied driving conditions
