Position

Rocky Mountain Laboratories is looking for a part-time Mobile Specimen Collector in Boise, Idaho. This position is perfect for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in a clinical setting. We are committed to providing fast, reliable specimen collection and transportation, maintaining high standards of professionalism, and ensuring patient confidentiality.

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM


Responsibilities:

  • Ensure timely and accurate collection and delivery of medical specimens to designated destinations, adhering to established schedules and protocols.
  • Handle specimens with care and attention to detail, ensuring proper labeling, packaging, and storage during transport.
  • Provide exceptional customer service when interacting with patients, clients, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch and team members to coordinate pickups, deliveries, and special instructions.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of all pickups, deliveries, and related activities using company-provided software.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines while operating the vehicle and handling medical specimens.
  • Assist with loading and unloading specimens and supplies, following proper handling procedures.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the company vehicle, performing regular inspections and reporting any maintenance issues.
  • Attend training sessions or meetings as required to stay updated on company policies, procedures, and industry regulations.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Certification as an MA, Phlebotomist, CNA, or EMT is preferable.
  • Personal auto insurance is required (no additional coverage is needed for company vehicles).
  • Clean driving record.
  • Active smartphone (Android or iPhone) with an adequate data plan.
  • Flexibility with routes and scheduling.
  • Previous medical courier or specimen collection experience preferred.
  • Comfortable using GPS and routing software.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
  • Ability to operate a vehicle for extended periods.
  • Basic computer profiency 

License/Certification:

  • Valid Driver's License (Required).

Job Type: W2, Part-Time

Salary: $18.00 per hour
